Join us this Lent
Every year, Good Shepherd has taken extra time to focus on and worship Jesus during Lent and Advent seasons. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, which falls on February 18th this year. Lent continues into Holy Week, which begins on Palm Sunday and ends with the most important church celebration on Easter Sunday.
Lenten Schedule
Midweek Lenten Supper & Services
Each Wednesday during Lent, we will have a Lenten Supper hosted by a committee, board, or small group of the church prior to having a service. While we do not charge anything to eat, there is a donation basket. To see what is on the menu each week, please check out the announcements at the end of our Sunday bulletin.
This year, our suppers begin at 5:15 pm and then service begins at 6:30 on February 18, 25, and March 4, 111, 18, and 25.
Palm SUnday
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week when Jesus entered Jerusalem welcomed by the crowds. We will have services at our regular times, 8:30 am and 10:45 am.
Maundy Thursday
We will have a service on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm to reflect on the Last Supper on April 2.
Good Friday
We will also have a service at 6:30 pm on Friday, April 3.
Easter Sunday
On Easter we will have an early service starting at 7:30 am, followed by an Easter Brunch at 9:00 am, then a later service at 10:45 am. As we get closer to Easter, we will have a volunteer list for those willing to help make dishes for the brunch.
